The 32-year-old has not played for the country since the World Twenty20, but he has been doing well with both bat and ball in different T20 leagues of the world as well as in the domestic circuit.
“There’s plenty of cricket left in me and I’m eager to make a comeback in the national team with the World Cup approaching,” Malik told The Express Tribune.
“I’ve kept myself fit and have been doing well in the ongoing Quaid-e-Azam Trophy."
Malik has so far scored 254 runs from four matches and picked up 13 wickets despite rumours regarding his action, which were dispelled by the Pakistan Cricket Board.

Why do he is thinking like that...what's so special he has done over the past one year in domestic or international circuit...only beacause he is favourite of some powerful people or husband of an international tennis player. I think we should move forward and shutters off for Shoaib Malik,Kamran Akmal, Adnan Akmal, Mohammad Sami,Faisal Iqbal, Sohail Tanveer and wahab Riaz enough chances for them.
