PUNJAB: With security officials on high alert to ensure peaceful celebrations of Baba Guru Nanak's 546th birthday, intelligence agencies arrested four suspects in Nankana Sahib District, Express News reported on Wednesday.

Almost 3,000 Sikh pilgrims from India are expected to participate in the anniversary celebrations, with many already gathered in the Nankana Sahib. The anniversary celebrations will be held from November 7 to 11.

Four suspects, identified as Sadoo, Hidayatullah, Umer Farooq and Riasat Ali, were arrested from the district and taken to an undisclosed location for questioning.

According to initial details, these suspects were present inside the district's gurudwara and had arrived here in a car with a fake media sticker on it. The suspects reportedly posed as media persons from Quetta and entered the worship place but were soon arrested.

The suspects, who are originally from different cities, arrived in Nankana Sahib from Faisalabad.
