UNITED NATIONS:

UN chief Ban Ki-moon on Monday condemned a suicide bomb attack near the border with India and said such “terrorist acts” are never justified.

The bomber struck at the Wagah border crossing near Lahore on Sunday, killing 55 people and wounding more than 120 -- the deadliest attack to hit the country in more than a year.

UN spokesman Stephane Dujarric said Ban “condemns in the strongest terms the terrorist attack that took place yesterday.  The secretary general urged the Pakistani authorities to bring those responsible to justice.”
