BAHAWALPUR: Three men allegedly avenged their sister’s suicide death by hanging their brother-in-law from a ceiling fan on Monday.  Rahim Yar Khan police said Ashiq Hussain, a resident of Hayat Lar village, told them that his brother Iqbal Hussain had married Momal Mai, a resident of Shidani village, a few years ago. He said the two had separated two months ago and Mai had gone on to live with her parents. He said a few weeks ago, she swallowed poison and died. He said when he returned from work on Monday, he found his brother hanging from the ceiling fan. Hussain nominated Mai’s brothers Bilal Ahmad, Saeed Ahmad and Riaz Ahmad in his complaint, saying he believed they had apparently killed his brother to avenge their sister’s death.
