Thank you, Malala

Letter November 03, 2014
Thank you Malala for reminding the world of this true message of Islam in 2014

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND, US: Thank you for being the second and youngest Nobel peace prize winner from Pakistan. Your courage, determination and will to survive are a reminder that there is hope in the darkest of hours. As a Muslim girl, I want to thank you for speaking up for the rights of women in Pakistan against the atrocities of the Taliban. I want to thank you for being brave enough in your 16 years to stand to the mighty monsters of a twisted ideology who are not ashamed to raise guns against children.

Despite the life-threatening bullet to your head, you have survived and thrived to become a young Muslim woman clearing the misconceptions against your religion. These days our religion is associated with extremist groups like the IS and the Taliban, but few people realise today that the Holy Prophet (pbuh) encouraged both women and men to seek education. Thank you Malala for reminding the world of this true message of Islam in 2014.
