Last year’s runners-up opened their account with Muhammad Rasool’s goal in the 29th minute of the match as K-Electric led 1-0 at the interval. Nigerian striker Sunday Obiyuni then doubled the lead in the 52nd minute.
KRL replied with Murtaza Hussain’s goal in the 63rd minute, while K-Electric captain Muhammad Essa scored the eventual winner in the 73rd.
The last goal of the match came from KRL’s Abdul Samad in the third minute of extra-time.
This was K-Electric’s second win of the season, having recorded two draws and two losses in the other matches. Meanwhile, KRL lost their second match.
K-Electric are now 10th with eight points, while KRL are in fifth position with 11.
In the second match of the day, PIA held Army in a goalless draw in Islamabad.
