Israeli stall at IIUI

Letter November 02, 2014
A blame game is now going on to apportion blame on the side that was responsible.

ISLAMABAD: The International Islamic University in Islamabad (IIUI) faced an ugly situation recently when some of its misguided elements arranged a stall on its old campus to highlight Israel’s culture. University Rector Dr Masoom Yasinzai and President Professor Dr Ahmad Yousif Al-Darweesh took immediate steps to end the controversy.

I would agree with these measures because it is well known that the Muslim world’s biggest enemy is Israel. Pakistanis have always been in the forefront of all movements against Israel. Furthermore, the Quaid-e-Azam supported the Palestinian cause and opposed the colonising of Palestine by Zionists. An academic event was tarred by misguided people, who have now lost credibility. A blame game is now going on to apportion blame on the side that was responsible. This needs to stop and people need to know that the IIUI will always stand behind the Palestinian cause.
