Foiled attempt: 6,000 litres of toxic liquor seized
Truck was Karachi-bound and was stopped as part of routine checking

The Ghotki excise police recovered 6,000 litres of home-brewed liquor late Friday night. They stopped a truck at National Highway near Kamoon Shaheed bordering area of Punjab and Sindh near the Ubauro district and seized 6,000 litres of toxic liquor. The truck was Karachi-bound and was stopped as part of routine checking. During the search, 40 drums containing 6,000 litres of toxic liquor were recovered from the truck which was on the way to Karachi from Punjab. The driver of the truck identified as Afzal Tanoli has been taken into custody and an FIR has been registered against him.
