Adviser to Prime Minister on National Security and Foreign Affairs Sartaj Aziz met with Iranian Foreign Minister Javad Zarif on Friday on the sidelines of the Heart of Asia-Istanbul Process conference in Beijing, a statement said.
Aziz, while discussing the Iran and Pakistan bilateral relations with Zarif, said that the economic and trade relations between the two countries would be further strengthen when next Joint Economic Commission meeting takes place in Islamabad next year.
High level visits between the two countries would further reinforce these ties.
They agreed on the need to strengthen border management system between the two countries.
It was emphasised that the established mechanism of border control and management should be utilised to address the border issues. Next meeting of Joint Border Commission is expected to be convened soon.
