PDWP meeting: 10 development projects approved
Rs214.3 million approved for establishment of wildlife park at Jauharabad.

The government on Wednesday approved 10 development schemes worth Rs7,874 million.
These schemes were approved at the 20th meeting of Provincial Development Working Party for the current fiscal year 2014-15, presided over by Punjab Planning and Development Board Chairman Muhammad Irfan Elahi.
The schemes are: Provision Of Laptops (Revised), cost Rs4,946.3 million; Urban Water Supply Scheme Shahkot in Nankana Sahib district (revised), cost Rs214.3 million; Establishment Of A Wildlife Park at Jauharabad in Khushab district at the cost of Rs268.5 million; Development of Animal Safaris and Improvement of Existing Facilities at the Safari Zoo in Lahore at the cost of Rs460.7 million; Construction of Badiana-Bhogiwal-Merajke-Charwa Road (length 26.77 kilometres) in Sialkot district, cost Rs339.7 million; Construction of Faisalabad Ring Road (missing sections between Faisalabad-Sargodha Road and Faisalabad-Chak Jhumra Road) length 11.82 km; Faisalabad (Revised) at the cost of Rs360.29 million; Improvement of Road from Chak 71/SB to Sargodha-Lahore Road along Chokera Minor (length 30 km) in Sargodha (Revised), cost Rs339.537 million; Protection of Bhakkar Flood Bund from erosion to save populated areas and agriculture land and other infrastructures of Bhakkar city, cost Rs892.2 million; Feasibility Study for Rehabilitation of Haveli main line, cost Rs28.8 million; and Feasibility Study for Rehabilitation of Dera Ghazi Khan Canal System, cost Rs23.5 million.
Planning and Development Secretary Waseem Ajmal attended the meeting.
