ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been invited to attend the Afghanistan Conference being held in London in the last week of November by British premier David Cameron. The two leaders spoke via telephone on Tuesday. According to an official handout, the conference is being co-chaired by Prime Minister Cameron and Afghan President Dr Ashraf Ghani, and will serve to reiterate the international community’s commitment to Afghanistan. Prime Minister Sharif’s participation would enable the two leaders to discuss bilateral Pakistan-UK relations and also provide an opportunity for the PM to meet the president of Afghanistan.
