Religious Unity: Altaf talks to Ali Karar Naqvi

KARACHI: Ulema who speak the truth without compromise are the crowns of our heads, said Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Altaf Hussain while speaking to religious scholar Ali Karar Naqvi on the telephone on Monday. “Since its beginning, MQM has struggled to maintain sectarian harmony and religious tolerance,” said Altaf. Naqvi appreciated Altaf’s efforts towards uniting the Muslim community. He said that religious scholars of all sects admitted that there had been sectarian riots and killings before MQM’s creation, but the party had made an effort to make peace between rival groups.
