Afghan refugees celebrate Eid in Peshawar

Tribesmen in Mohmand Agency also celebrate Eid with special prayers for peace and prosperity in the country.

PESHAWAR: Afghan refugees in Peshawar and nearby areas are celebrating Eidul Azha with religious fervour on Tuesday.

The refugees offered Eid prayers in Hayatabad, Karkhano market, Kach Garhi, Bord, Regi Lalma and Baghbanan areas of Peshawar and the Shamshato camp.


The largest congregation was held in Kacha Garhi camp in Peshawar and was attended by 15,000 Afghan refugees.


Tribesmen in Mohmand Agency are also celebrating Eid today with special prayers for peace and prosperity in the country.

Laying down arms and actually doing peaceful and constructive work for the betterment of the poor people would go a long way for "for peace and prosperity in the country". God helps those who help themselves!
