Rally in London to support Kashmir cause

Thousands of people, including members of British parliament and representatives of Sikh and Kashmiri communities, marched from London’s Trafalgar Square to 10 Downing Street on Sunday to express solidarity with the Kashmiri people, according to TV reports. PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and his sister Aseefa Bhutto also took part in the rally.

Addressing the rally, former AJK prime minister Barrister Sultan Mehmood said no power in the world could stop the Kashmiri people from using their right to self-determination.

When Bilawal came onto the stage to address the gathering, some people started shouting slogans and also threw water bottles at him. Commenting on the incident, Aseefa tweeted: “Indian agents tried to stop my brother from speaking but Alhamdulillah they did not succeed.”
