The chief of the Tehreek Nifaze Fiqh-e-Jafariya Agha Syed Hamid Ali Shah Moosavi  on Sunday announced the 19-point code of conduct for the processions during Muharram, said a press release.

The code included suggestions that concrete steps be taken during the majalis and processions and squads of army and rangers be posted at sensitive places.

Caretakers and administration of imambargahs are to ensure that protective measures are taken, stated the code, adding further that in the light of the May 21, 1985 Junejo-Moosavi Agreement, processions all over the country will be taken out independently.

“Ulema and zakireen may give priority to national integrity in their addresses, avoid provocative speeches and preach the sacrifices of Shuhada-e-Karbala in a positive manner” said Moosavi.

He urged the government not to exercise power and gas load-shedding during processions and not to schedule examinations in schools, colleges and universities.
