Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N)’s general secretary in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Rehmat Salam Khattak blamed Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan for deviating media attention from the displaced population through his sit-ins.
Speaking at a news conference at Bannu Press Club on Sunday, he said investment and development projects worth billions of rupees have been adversely affected by the protests in Islamabad.
The general secretary pointed out the PTI government had failed to implement development projects in the province or act in the public’s interest. “PTI has also failed to improve the health and education sectors since it assumed public office,” he said. “The local government polls—which were supposed to be held in the first 90 days of the PTI government—have not been held for 18 months,” he said
During the news conference, some PTI workers announced their decision to join the PML-N.
