GHALLANAI: A third-grade student died after a grenade went off in Akhundzadgan, Mohmand Agency. An official of the political administration confirmed the tragedy. He said Sajid Khan, son of Hassan Jan, died when he picked up a grenade lying in Chanda. The bomb went off instantly and the child died on the spot. Meanwhile, an IED planted at a roadside in Nawagai, Bajaur Agency was defused and a rocket was fired from across the border in Chamarkand on Saturday night. The rocket landed in fields and no loss of life was reported.
