Anti-Encroachment Drive: CDA retrieves two kanals

Directorate’s teams demolished animal shed comprising nine rooms and retrieved one kanal of CDA land from encroachers

ISLAMABAD: The enforcement directorate of the Capital Development Authority has retrieved two kanals of government land and demolished as many illegally constructed houses during its anti-encroachment operation over the weekend. The directorate’s teams demolished an animal shed comprising nine rooms and retrieved one kanal of CDA land from encroachers. Officials of the Islamabad Police also participated in the operation, according to a press release. During the operation, enforcement teams faced resistance from the encroachers and one person was arrested by the police in Jhang Syedaan. Moreover, special teams carried out an operation against encroachments in Melody Market and opened parking and pavements for the general public visiting the market. An illegally constructed canopy in the open space of Zenose Restaurant was also demolished.
