Peshawar High Court Chief Justice Mazhar Alam Khan Miankhel on Saturday said solid measures were being taken to help law officials and to serve litigants in DI Khan.
Addressing the oath-taking ceremony of the district bar and high court bar associations as the chief guest on Saturday, Justice Miankhel said a judicial complex is being built in Paharpur tehsil on 50 kanals of land. Work on the complex’s design has started, he added.
Such structures will also be built in Darban, Kulachi and Prova tehsils. Buildings in these areas would be erected after consultations from stakeholders, including lawyers, to provide the
best services under a single roof, said the PHC chief justice.
He added judges of family courts would be transferred to DI Khan to ease workload and resolve cases of family disputes swiftly.
A camp of the service tribunal would also be held with at least two judges to hear cases. This would help complainants who are waiting for justice.
He also said written examination for posts of civil judges would be held soon to overcome the shortage of judges in the province.
