HARIPUR:

Pakistan Awami Tehreek Chairman Dr Tahirul Qadri has called upon the government to make the report of Model Town firing incident public and also called for the execution of those responsible for killing 14 innocent citizens.

The PAT chief was addressing a public gathering in Haripur on Friday. Holding Punjab chief minister responsible for the killing of 14 PAT workers in Model Town, Qadri termed it “state repression” and vowed to fight till the fall of the government.

“We will not sell blood of our martyrs nor will accept Qisas. What we want is blood for blood,” he said, adding that PAT was forced to stage sit-in to earn the otherwise legal and fundamental right of registering an FIR against the culprits. “It was a murder of justice, judicial system, law, Constitution and the state’s institutions,” he said.

Qadri said he has stood up against the corrupt system which had failed to provide justice to the oppressed people and millions of people across the country have joined him in his fight. “The revolution I launched has started to spread to other cities.”

Lambasting the government, the PAT chief said the government was minting money from every electricity consumer for the projects that are yet to kick off.

He also cited the deduction rate over the recharge of cellphone credit and added that a user is made to pay Rs24 on every recharge of Rs100. “It’s better to make a law allowing the government to kill every poor,” he said, adding that his protest will soon wake up the entire nation.

“All the four retired judges of ECP must resign because their ineligibility has created a chaos in the country,” Qadri said.
