Polio immunisation right of every child: PM

ISLAMABAD: On the occasion of World Polio Day, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif met polio-affected children and and also administered polio vaccine drops.

The premier said a comprehensive communication strategy would be evolved to promote immunisation as a right of every child. The premier called upon every segment of society to ensure children are given this right.

Talking to polio-affected children at the PM House, Nawaz expressed the government’s commitment towards eradicating polio and pledged to dedicate all resources towards this goal.

The premier said the PM's office was directly monitoring and reviewing polio immunisation efforts.

Nawaz also said a PM focus group on polio had also been constituted to hold monthly meetings to assess the performance of the polio eradication program.
