Interrogation: Suspect sent on physical remand
A case was registered against him under Section 365-A of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Defence police station
KARACHI:
The Anti-Terrorism Court-III (ATC-III) remanded on Monday a man accused of kidnapping to police custody till October 24. Haroon Rasheed, the suspect, was produced in court under tight security. The case investigation officer requested physical remand to interrogate the suspect, which the court granted for five days. The counsel for the prosecution said that Rasheed was involved in the kidnapping of Muhammad Bilal from DHA, Phase II, on May 19. Rasheed and his accomplices had demanded Rs100 million as ransom. The police arrested the suspect on October 17. A case was registered against him under Section 365-A of the Pakistan Penal Code at the Defence police station.
