Cross-border attack: 3 FC men injured from TTP firing in Bajaur

Three Frontier Corps (FC) officials were injured in cross border firing by Taliban militants on a Pakistani check post in Bajaur Agency on Monday morning.
A Khar political administration official while confirming the attack on the post in Ghakhi, said that militants from the Afghan province of Kunar fired on the FC officials, injuring three of them. The forces retaliated to the attack, while the injured were evacuated to a hospital for treatment.
TTP spokesperson Shahidullah Shahid spoke to the media via telephone from an undisclosed location and claimed responsibility on behalf of the militant organisation for teh attack.
Bajaur Agency shares border with the eastern Afghan province of Kunar where militants have hideouts, and have frequently attacked Pakistani border posts in the tribal area.
