Girls and women swimmers of all ages got an opportunity on Sunday to display their talent and potential at the prestigious Punjab Women’s Age-group and Open Championship.

The event, organised by the Women’s Swimming Association Punjab, has a long history. It was organised after a two-year gap.

Participation was enthusiastic, with swimmers ranging in age from eight to over 18 years. The Open category, with nine events, was open to swimmers of all ages.

Twelve-year-old swimmer Mishael Hyat Ayub was declared the best female swimmer after she won the Open event, collecting five gold, a silver and a bronze medal.
