The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) mercilessly used government resources to make its rally in Karachi a success, accused Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) vice-chairperson Shah Mehmood Qureshi. "They succeeded in gathering a large crowd but failed to achieve their political objectives," he claimed.
Qureshi was speaking to media persons in Sukkur on Sunday. He said that the PPP chairperson Bilawal Bhutto Zardari read out a scripted speech, adding that no connection between the speaker and the audience was observed during the rally.
Qureshi was of the belief that the PPP's ideology was buried in Garhi Khuda Bux, after the murder of Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. "The slogan of roti, kapra, makan has been replaced with zar and Zardari," he claimed.
The PTI leader said that after Punjab, the PPP was losing its lustre in Sindh too. Referring to Aitzaz Ahsan's speech at the Karachi rally, Qureshi said he was right in saying the party should apologise for its worst performance in the by-elections in Multan.
Qureshi also announced to initiate the Sindh Jagao campaign with the first rally to be held in Larkana on November 21. "We held a successful rally in Lahore which is the Pakistan Muslim League - Nawaz's stronghold. Now, it is time for us to hold the rally in Larkana, which is a PPP stronghold."
In response to allegations that the PTI's jalsas were conducted at the behest of some quarters, he said that if anyone had proof, they should go to the court against the PTI.
Qureshi reminded the audience that the PPP, despite remaining in power for over the last six years, had failed to arrest the murderers of Benazir Bhutto as well as those responsible for the Karsaz blasts.

Going to Larkana is a bold decision of IK. It will prove that PTI is country wide phenomena if they make it even a half success. IK can ask his supporters for country wide dharna if Larkana becomes a real success, it will be defining moment and Good Bye for Nawaz.
Larkana...where no man has gone before! Good luck!
According to status co parties the democracy in Pakistan means not allowing the common man to chant anti government slogans like Go Nawaz Go, not allow any one to hold any kind of political activity in Larkana and Karachi, create hurdles if any one is planning for jalsa, try to politically victimize and terrorize the opponents, use the government machinery including police for there own benefits and the list of steps taken by the governments to strengthen democracy goes on.
