37 militants killed in Khyber Agency

Search operation against miscreants in Akakhel of Tirah valley in Bara is also underway

ISLAMABAD: Thirty-seven militants have so far been killed, while 50 others, including important commanders, surrendered to security forces in Khyber Agency, Radio Pakistan reported.

Operation Zarb-e-Azb Khyber-I continues for the third consecutive day on Sunday.

According to security forces, search operation against miscreants in the Akakhel of Tirah valley in Bara is also underway.

The security forces have asked the militants to lay down arms and accept the writ of the government and also requested the tribesmen to cooperate with them to clear the area from terrorists.

On the other hand, civilians have been shifted to safe places through Ali Masjid and Orakzai points.

The security forces have established a registration point at Orakzai near Tirah, and over 365 families have so far migrated through the Ali Masjid route.
