Reviewing arrangements: DCO asks citizens to assist polio teams

LAHORE: District Coordination Officer (DCO) Muhammad Usman on Saturday urged the people to cooperate with polio workers to eradicate the disease. He urged parents to cooperate with workers to ensure that drops were administered to every child. Usman was speaking during a visit to Samanabad. He had visited the area to review a training programme for the workers. Usman also delivered a lecture on the occasion and told them to be patient with parents. He also visited Minto Park to review security arrangements for a Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) rally scheduled to be held on Sunday. Separately, Usman visited Model Town with MNA Pervaiz Malik to review security arrangements for Ashura. He directed officials to ensure that streetlights and roads were repaired ahead of schedule. The district coordination officer also directed health services officials to continue the anti-dengue campaign across the city with great zeal.
