The second-in-command of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) said on October 16 that Iran was, in principle, against interfering in the affairs of another state, but if a state fails to abide by its obligations — i.e., to prevent cross-border incursions by groups attacking Iran — then Iran will have no choice but to act on its own to protect its interests. The implications are not entirely clear, but hot pursuit by Iranian forces cannot, it seems, be ruled out and nor can air strikes, though the latter are very unlikely.
The very last thing that both Iran and Pakistan need are ‘border incidents’ and we would urge Iran to show restraint and attempt to resolve any issues between our respective countries via diplomatic channels. There was an incursion by Iranian troops in May and a Pakistani citizen was shot dead. It may well be that Iran has something to complain about. If this is the case, it is the responsibility of Pakistan to ensure the security of the Iranian border on our side, and that means intercepting the movements of groups that are infiltrating Iran, and if this is indeed happening. Iranian concerns should be addressed. Pakistan should seek stability with its neighbours, not conflict.

because they justify their existence by continual confrontation with India, and also understand that the only value they could have for the world is the "Nuisance Value"
Is it time to wake up or still too early in the morning ? When a country becomes a victim of its own propaganda, the signs are ominous and examples teaching lessons many.
"Iranian concerns should be addressed. Pakistan should seek stability with its neighbours, not conflict." why only Iran and not India ??? So you are fine with escalation with India but you want to resolve with everyone else. Why that discrimination ?
Pakistan's denials are starting to sound more and more hollow. If it does not shut down its rogue forces within its establishment, the world will do it for them. Pakistan is blamed of terrorism by Iran, Afghanistan, India and Balochistan. Enough of excuses.
The title of this editorial refer to beasts on all sides but the tone and tanner of the write up refer about bestiality which is prevailing only in Pakistan. Will the sane voices of the Nation understand what is wrong and where it is?
Iran was forced to take action since it knew Pakistan's "diplomatic" channels have no power to act. When was the last time GHQ listened to politicians or diplomats?
If Pakistan is capable of fighting Terror, why can't it just allow other Governments to do the job for them?
What is use of hiding behind sovereinty? Pakistan wants to claim sovereinty, but not put it in practice by actually taking control of its own Terroritory, that it had ceded all on it own.
Failure in imposing sovereignty is a sign of a failed state. If Pakistanis can mock Karzai for not controling anything outside Kabul, should the same logic apply to Pakistan?
Being a nuisance is the only way the world will know Pakistan exists. Beyond that there is hardly any positive contribution.
