PESHAWAR:

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) has extended the deadline for the release of Islamia College University's vice-chancellor Dr Ajmal Khan indefinitely. This message was conveyed by TTP kidnappers in a video released from an unknown location.

In the video, the Taliban claimed that the ANP government as well as the jirga that held its session at Dr Ajmal's residence were well aware of the demands of the kidnappers. They claimed that the deadline for the release of Dr Khan had been extended till demands were met, however any future deadline set by the Taliban will not be extended.

Earlier, the TTP had set November 20 as the deadline date for Dr Khan's release. He was kidnapped on September 7, 2010 and is a locally-renowned academic and a close ally of the ruling Awami National Party (ANP) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

If you were the Pakistani, and left to a foreign land, and gained the foreign land nationality, then there is no point of saying Pakistan a jungle. Because you are no more the part of this country. Comparing this country with a developed nation, obviously, who will see a big difference. Always wish good and great success to anyone you meet. I personally feel, those people are cowards near me, who obtain foreign nationalities, and on a very quick minute start giving poisonous speeches, for the same country whom they came from. I beg you, and I request you, if you cannot do anything for the country, please don't try to spoil it from your lovely fingers.
Emmon Khan | 13 years ago | Reply Our brave army generals and our mullahs are responsible for importing these Jihadis from around the world, terming them as their ideological brethren. These generals and mullahs have played havoc with the lives of ordinary, peaceful, forward looking Pukhtoons. Now these generals have to rein in and eliminate these Jihadis or otherwise Pukhtoons would part their ways. If these generals really want to save the fedration of Pakistan and not just their GHQ and their villas in defence colonies in the posh areas of every city in the country, they have to save good bye to their life of comfort, come out in full force against these Jihadis and eliminate them. But that seems a far fetched dream keeping in view the equally far fetched dream of our generals and our mullahs to extend their clout out of Pakistan and into Afghanistan and beyond on the one side and Kashmir and beyond on the other! In the meanwhile, these criminals aka the strategic assets of our generals and mullahs will play havoc with the life of ordinary people of this country in general and with that of the Pukhtoons in particular. God be with us!
