KPT fail to move top after drawing with Railways in PPFL

KARACHI: PAF defeated Muslim FC 2-1 at the Jinnah Stadium in Islamabad on Friday to go top of the Pakistan Premier Football League (PPFL).

Muhammad Irfan gave PAF the lead in the 15th minute, but Muslim FC’s Tahir Khan equalised in the 41st as the teams went into the break on level pegging.

However, Muhammad Mujahid scored the winner in the 61st minute to send PAF to the top of the league with 10 points after five games. Whereas, Muslim FC, who lost their second match, are a point behind.

Meanwhile, KPT also have 10 points after playing out a draw against hosts Railways 1-1 in Lahore.

Wajid Ali scored in the 29th minute as Railways’ led 1-0 at the interval. However, KPT’s Zafar Majeed scored the equaliser in the 65th minute.

In Saturday’s lone fixture, Balch FC will face Army in Islamabad.
