In an interview in New York, Pakistan's representative to the United Nations Masood Khan said restraint exercised by Pakistan should not be considered as weakness.
The ambassador reiterated Pakistan's principled stance to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue.
At least 12 people have been killed and 64 others injured in Indian firing along the LoC and Working Boundary over the past two weeks. Unprovoked Indian firing has triggered an exodus of people from the villages near the border.
Clashes occur regularly along the LoC as well as the Working Boundary. However, the latest shelling which began over a week ago, has been unusual in its intensity and frequency.

@rigel: Then why US, UN rest of the world does not intervene ?
I know Bangladesh deserved independence.. But the way it got was not correct..and what kind of choice India didn't had
@Haider: India got 8 million refugees from what is now Bangladesh, so it had no choice but to get inolved.
@Haider: What did u smoked Haider ???
Pakistan as a nation is in no position to Order / Tell / Demand / Command ...anything from anyone... They can just request or wish..
@Haider: Get a life school kid! You copies the entire text from some other place.
@LOL: "....why do you think Indian Army has not tried even once to take back the part of Kashmir that we snatched from your mouths in 1948..." Buddy, let me clue you into a little secret. India had no desire for Kashmir. In fact Indians were sure Kashmir will go to Pakistan. It was nothing but monumental stupidity on the part of Pakistanis that let the major chunk of Kashmir fall in the hands of India. So if you are under the impression that you "snatched" a part of Kashmir from us, or that it is your army or the nukes that are holding us from taking it back from you, my suggestion to you would be to read some good history books, and not the ones that you were taught from in school.
@Iqbal: why do you think Indian Army has not tried even once to take back the part of Kashmir that we snatched from your mouths in 1948, if it really is a walk in the park ? free advice , stop living in a fool's paradise.
While India are at it they might as well capture all of the Kashmir and Pakistan as well. All of it was once part of India. I say that because my fellow Pakistanis are applying similar logic. For them to take over Pakistan will be like walking in the park.
@wiserneighbour: First stop firing to Indian side to facilitate terrorist infiltration .
That claim by India has never been proven by any third party or confirmed by the UN. Sorry.
Even if you go each pillar and post of world.. Nobody will care pakistan claim.. There is no use with these kind of interview.. In International media, i never saw any interview from pakistani delgate.. BUT saw in all newslets that UN SNUBBED PAKISTAN 2 days back.. this is reality.. Twitter,Facebook war no use..
@LyingonTheface : you have to be the dumbest person alive if you think the Indian Army and Media are angels and never lie. LOL
No, Indian firing was not unprovoked. After taking stock from Services chiefs, DG of BSF and Home Minister, Modi ordered security forces to return the fire and such that will cause unimaginable damage to the enemy. Also, has pakistan realized why UN never heeds to her pleas? Its been 67 years and UN does not want to hear the word Kashmir. Has Pakistan analyzed this why?
Pakistan not only raised the Kashmir issue in the UN to divert political issues in the country, but also started shelling into Indian villages, killing over a dozen people. Now, India will not and should not stop shelling until the border land with India is inhospitable by a single fly.If the Pak establishment is willing to sacrifice its citizens for the sake of a lost cause, why should India hold back?.Sorry folks, lies of the Pak army can only get you soo far.
It is pretty simple to stop the border skirmishes.First stop firing to Indian side to facilitate terrorist infiltration . India too will stop firing once you stop this practice. What is the point in lipservicing the same again and again.
First requested now demanding what next 'Pakistan threaten UN' lolz
The ambassador reiterated Pakistan’s principled stance to resolve all outstanding issues with India through dialogue. He forgot to mention that by 'dialogue' he meant discussing with everybody other than India!
