Chasing a target of 319 runs for an outright win, Karachi Dolphins were sent packing for 166 runs on the fourth day of play at the National Stadium, Karachi.
Fast-bowlers Mohammad Sami and Abdur Rauf shared nine wickets between them — Sami took nine wickets in the match following a five-wicket haul in the first innings.
In another match, SNGPL recorded a seven-wicket win over Multan Tigers played at the Multan Cricket Stadium. The leading departmental team hunted down 218 runs for the loss of three wickets on the final day of the match to record an easy win.
Naeemuddin scored 83, while Taufiq Umar celebrated his return to the national Test squad by contributing 80.
Over at the Qaddafi Stadium in Lahore, Wapda recorded a thumping innings and 98 run win over their hosts Lahore Lions.
After amassing 542 runs in their first innings, Wapda bowlers ran through Lions twice in two days to record an outright win. Ali Bhutta took seven wickets in the match.
Meanwhile, at Rawalpindi’s Pindi Stadium, UBL recorded a crushing innings and 62 run win over the hosts.
Rawalpindi Rams were bundled out for measly scores of 130 and 60 in their two innings, while UBL posted 252 for three before declaring their lone innings.
Elsewhere, the tie between NBP and Peshawar Panthers at the Arbab Niaz Stadium in Peshawar ended in a tame draw as the final day was washed out.
Islamabad Leopards and ZTBL also played out a draw as the last day was lost due to rain at the Diamond Ground in the capital city.
