According to ISPR, security forces retaliated effectively to Indian aggression.
ISPR said that the Indian Border Security Force carried out unprovoked firing on Naiza Peer sector in Rawalakot and Kellar sector in Bagh at 2 am today, Radio Pakistan reported.
More than 12 people have been killed and 64 others injured in Indian firing along the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary over the past two weeks. Unprovoked Indian firing has triggered an exodus of people from the villages near the LoC and Working Boundary.
Clashes occur regularly along the LoC as well as the Working Boundary. However, the latest shelling which began over a week ago, has been unusual in its intensity and frequency.
'Indian aggression - threat to peace'
Pakistan's Ambassador to the United States Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that the continuous violation of the LoC and the Working Boundary is posing a threat to peace in the South Asian region, Radio Pakistan reported.
Addressing a forum held under the aegis of Atlantic Council in Washington, Jilani said that Pakistan-India relationship has become tense because of the Indian aggression, adding that "Pakistan wants to maintain atmosphere of peace with India".
Expressing disappointment on the unilateral decision by India to cancel foreign secretary-level talks and the recent escalation on the LoC through multiple violations by the Indian security forces, the ambassador said that such aggressive posturing in a volatile region, not only runs counter to the stated Indian objectives for a peace dialogue with Pakistan but also jeopardizes the security and stability of the entire region.

@kksr:
You are right !!!
Borders are meant to demarcate geographic and territorial limits.
In times of peace , civilized societies do not fire shells across the border , nor are civilian and military deaths acceptable . There are standard diplomatic and political methods for addressing border disputes.
There is a great scope for economic progress in the South Asian and regional economic spectrum.
Economic progress for whom ? For the poor and underprivileged persons of all our countries.
If the Indian firing is a "threat to peace", will the infiltration of terrorists be the harbinger of harmony?
Quote : " ---- “If two people stare at each other for more than a few seconds, it means they are about to either make love or fight. Something similar might be said about human societies. If two nearby societies are in contact for any length of time, they will either trade or fight. The first is non-zero-sum social integration, and the second ultimately brings it.” ― Robert Wright
@Gurion:
Many thanks Sir! You have explained it so well I can never forget. I can however never know if those who have their finger on the pin will.
@Arjun: Hilarious! Is your brother in law dancing too, and what is he doing on this side of the border?
Well, firing from the Pakistan side started again when it received the letter from UN in response its complaint against India two days back in which UN has snubbed Pakistan and refused to intervene on Kashmir issue advising Pakistan to resolve this issue through dialogue with India and find a long term solution to this dispute. Surprisingly, this news item was published in all the Indian online dailies in the morning 10.30 IST but blacked out all Pak papers so far.
@ModiFied: and then you woke up. Life isn't like Karish my friend.
Modi being the PM, it was not unexpected. And he also has to win elections in two States. Moreover, we should not forget statement of their new army chief when he took over the office recently
@pakiindi:
For the same reason why one shouldn't unpin a grenade and slip it into the pant pocket!
I hope pak learns lesson this time but I know after talking to my brother in law who is with BSF, we are taking a beating when paks return fire. We are only a nation full of street dancers with Modi being biggest street dancer and we can only make a show... we can't do anything for real. I am afraid this will cost India dearly.
@Taimoor: You are correct... 1. In world only 6 countries can design & manufacture Nuclear Submarine 2. Only 3 countries reached Mars successfully 3. Only 7 Countries have all major Space Research Capabilities
And INDIA is common in all above... At-least another 20 years required to compare Pak with INDIA. This is a statistical approach based on present scenario.
Difficult to understand why Pak army is not using their nuclear bumb?
Why all the excitement? The Indian aggression is being dealt with effectively, is it not? The more the Indians continue to fire, the bigger the beating they are getting in reply. Pakistan should be happy.
Cool
If firing has to be stopped means it is very simple Pakistan has to stop firing, if that happens India won't fire. If talks has to started means it is Pakistan which has to decide to whom they want to talk, if they want to talk to separatist in Kashmir valley means Pakistan has no business to do with India Government. If Pakistan wants to talk to Indian Government then Pakistan should give up separatist in Kashmir. It is upto Pakistan to decide to whom they want to talk.
But Pakistan should not expect Indian Government will talk to them when they are firing across LOC and try to infiltrate terrorist inside India.
So everything is in the hands of Pakistan now
@Taimoor:
I agree with all your conspiracy theories and I'm glad that India is punishing Pakistan.
From now on, our policy must be for every single Indian death, we need 10 Pakistani martyrs.
@ModiField : mr. genious, calm down, this is not the right platform to give suggestions to your government, go to Modi's office and give him your hundreds of un-wanted suggestions that you post here everyday. or is it that even Modi has nothing better to do with his life and visits this site to read the comments of your countrymen and you ?
Its getting to be a really bad neighborhood, with NATO helicopters violating our airspace and India always firing at us... I think Pakistan Should move from the area... probably next to Sudan or Somalia where we belong ...
When there are people like Modi in power, you need to get prepared and respond in the same manner to shut all their holes... to teach them a lesson.
Brace yourself. Indian trolls are expected to cry & scream to contradict the news & some serious mouth firing is expected.. :)
Fire work at LoC will continue now as long as Pakistan does not stop poking her nose in Kashmir affairs. Instead of fighting a proxy war, India will engage Pakistan directly in a proper low to medium intensity war at the border. Expect an open moral and political support to Bloch and other separatists in Pakistan also. India will raise the cost of conflict for Pakistan.
This nonsense needs to be stopped..No one will benefit from firing while chances of War are impossible a nuclear threat always there...I hope under observation of UNMOGIP it becomes clear who started
I honestly dont see a reason why Pak Army would start it over and over again, as they are busy in operation in the northern areas and the political and economic situation of the country is bad. The Indians however have many reasons to do this; 1. their frustration after the success of Zarb-e-Azb and high failure of their proxies. 2. to punish Pakistan for raising the Kashmir issue in UN. (i wonder why the heavy firing started after Nawaz's speech on Kashmir, if Pak Army had to do it, they would have done it before the speech) 3. trying to start a war with Pak, when Pak is in a bad condition politically, economically and security-wise.
What else they can do , , they are saint and do nothing with others on screen. now after this news a group will come and start calling us terrorist as their media show us by name of Jamat e dawa and Taliban. But USA is their ideal who funded Taliban for their sake .. and KSA and Kuwait too who are biggest sponsor of such jihadis. but for these two islamic countries they are in queue to take visa and work. Strange , Double standard,. and when nothing left they will start comparing GDP without knowing the fact that they are 100 millions and we are 20 million nation ...
