On October 14, Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan had ordered the removal of containers from all roads in the federal capital except the ones on Constitution Avenue. In a directive to the Islamabad administration, the interior minister had said steps should be taken to improve traffic flow in the city.
The containers were placed for security of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT) demonstrators who started protests in the capital on August 15.
Constitution Avenue is one of the major roads in Islamabad along which the Pak Secretariat stands. Containers at PTV Chowk and outside the Pak Secretariat were removed today, while officials are working to remove other remaining containers.
Containers which were placed outside the PM House have also been removed.
Blockage of many roads in Islamabad had led to the closure of many businesses and affected daily activities of many. Removal of these containers will come as a relief to the distressed Islamabad residents.

Why did it take so long to remove the containers? there were never more than a few hundred people at the Dharna for over a month now. In Naya Pakistan we will all be allowed to do dharna for or against the Great khan without any containers.
thank God. Now I also hope that Punjab Police is removed from the capital where various public schools have been occupied for their residence . They should be sent back to Punjab to help the flood victims who are badly in need instead of conducting political duties.
