Disinfecting the district : ‘No cases of dengue in Lower Dir’

LOWER DIR: A meeting was held in Lower Dir to discuss measures to be taken to stem the spread of dengue virus. District Commissioner Muhammad Suhail chaired the meeting in which participants were told that so far no cases of dengue fever have been reported from the district. The DC lauded the efforts of the district administration and preventive measures taken by the health department. Participants were also informed the district was fumigated with anti-dengue spray. Moreover, District Headquarters Hospital, Timergara’s medical superintendent said a 60-bed ward has been set up at the hospital with trained staff to cope with any dengue cases.
