
In numerous cultural and sports competitions, the students of COMSATS and Fatima Jinnah Women University took the lead winning seven and five awards respectively.
The COMSATS university students won the awards for the Declamation (English) Serious and Humorous, Fashion Show, ADD Contest, Volley Ball Male, Cricket Female and Race 100M Female.
While FJWU excelled in winning awards in the fields of Badminton Female, Dramatics Theatre Play, Dramatics Mime, Photography and Painting.
The other universities including SZABIST and Riphah International also got awards for their distinguished performance in different competitions of the event.
The audience stood spellbound when Muhammad Fawad, a PRESTON university student, sang a song winning the award for Singing-Solo. Two other PRESTON university students, Rumail and Sara, also won prizes for the competition of Singing-Duet.
Mushaira (poetry competition) was the unique part of the four-day event, full of colour and jubilations. Aaleen of the Hamdard University won the award for the competition.
Islamic International University student Amna Noreen who won the Table Tennis competition said, “This event has provided youths with an opportunity to showcase their skills and overcome hesitation, I already feel more confident.”
Anwar Khan, a student, said that he enjoyed a lot and the festival should be held regularly.
