KARACHI: Sindh High Court (SHC) chief justice Maqbool Baqar on Monday directed the provincial police chief and Hyderabad DIG to submit their reports on efforts to recover the missing son of a lawyer. CJ Baqar gave this directive while converting into a constitutional petition a resolution passed by the SHC Bar Association (SHCBA) Hyderabad to recover its president’s son. The resolution said that Nisar Ahmed Durrani, son of Zulfiqar Durrani, had gone missing 14 days ago in Hyderabad. The SHCBA alleged that the authorities had failed to recover Durrani and requested that serious efforts be made on the part of law enforcement agencies to find him. Converting the resolution into a constitutional petition, the CJ issued notices to the Sindh IG and the Hyderabad DIG to file their reports on October 15.
