Road accidents: Three killed, seven injured in two mishaps

Two passengers were killed while five others were injured when a jeep plunged into a roadside gorge in Mansehra on Monday afternoon, police said.
Eyewitnesses and police said a passenger jeep was on its way to Allai, adding the driver lost control near Kadlo village and the vehicle fell into a deep ravine, killing Haroon and Wahab on the spot. Bakht Meena, Nadir Khan, Abdul Salam, Noor Islam and Habibur Rehman were injured. The injured and dead were shifted to DHQ Hospital, Battagram from where two of the injured were referred to Ayub Medical Complex, Abbottabad.
Meanwhile, a child was killed while two others were severely injured when a car plowed into them in Sakhakot area of Malakand on Monday morning.
An official of the levies force said the accident occurred near Khangarhi Phattak, adding a car en route to Sakhakot Bazaar from Dargai ran over the minors identified as Hameedullah, who died on the spot, Abid and Asadullah as they were playing by the roadside.
