Three connections to the PTI chief's residence were cut off today.
In September, IESCO had served a notice to Imran, issuing him a warning that power supply will be disconnected if dues for his residence in Bani Gala were not cleared.
Imran had set alight his electricity bill on September 19, as part of his civil disobedience campaign against the government while citing its failure to curb rampant power theft despite raising tariffs by 80% in a year. At D-Chowk in Islamabad, hundreds of PTI workers had followed suit and also set their bills on fire.

@Mango man: Who will cut off the electricity of President House as he is also the defaulter of more than a crore rupess since months? PM, President and Election Commission is exempt from payment of electricity dues? Can you support your argument?
@FP: "Law should be equal to all" a good quote from FP. PM house, President House, Election Commission and lot of other departments located in Islamabad which fall under IESCO territory has not yet paid their electricity dues since months. What do you think about these ruling elite.
Once again I remind you, your quote "Law should be equal to all". Waiting for your response Sir.
@Aftab Khan: Just read the list of defaulters....added all together the amount is humongous ...no wonder the electricity price per unit keeps rising and our bills are outrageous...i hazard to guess that iesco is compensating for the losses caused by the defaulters by hiking up the tariffs !
Imran will not be affected as he will continue his dharna till he becomes the PM and shift directly to the PM designate bunglow.
@Wajid: it is very shameful to think that getting free electricity is the right of every citizen. Government of Pakistan cannot afford to give free electricity to any for free. Pay your bills and pay your taxes to get basic services.
IK or Imran Khan, you want to be role model of change then "Go Green" and "Energy Efficient" in your home. You can easily afford to make your home run on FREE (at least today) Solar Power. I can guide you to do this successfully with made in Pakistan Solar Panels by Shaantech. Homes all over the world are now changing to some or all solar power. Help the country, help the environment, and show the way forward.
So are the bills for raiwand castle and PM/CM/Governor houses are all paid? Just making sure if the collective zameer of our administration is still awake!
Those who have never worked for a living in their life want everything for free. There are no free lunches anymore. No money no honey as they say.
Law should be equal for everyone, what about swiss bank accounts,of Zardari, ittefaq foundary loans of Nawaz Sharif ,money laundaring of Nawaz Sharif and Khawaja asif transformer usage I am happy on disconnection of IK electicity now his supporters will try to follow him.We dont want corrupt people enjoy on our bills.
@Wajid: You're mistaken and perhaps otherwise challenged. It is not in the constitution that free electricity be provided; electricity is not a free service in most countries of the world.
Why should anyone be getting a free rides on others? It may be touted as a political move but in principle electricity should be cut for anyone not paying their bills.
I am a PTI supporter and appreciate this move by IESCo. Any one who does not pay his bills should be disconnected. The next we expect is to immediately cut the connections of all those who have not paid their bills including the existing politicains / bureaucrats / wadairas etc etc etc without fail and discrimination. (of course including those related to the ruling party).
ONLY ONE THING IS NEEDED TO DO WITH HONESTY GO NAWAZ GO.As they and their big brother Zardari are corrupt people we will have to do something against them ,otherwise we will give another 30 years to all of them and their children to rule on us and make our children slaves. I am sure Imran Khan never remained defaulter of anything before now what he is doing is for a great cause. We must come out of the shell today or never
This news made me happy!!!
**Top Defaulters of LESCO "Itefaque group" with 43 million in default still have Power connection. Lesco website has the detail @ no : 9
http://www.lesco.gov.pk/news&media/5000071.asp
I am in support to treat all citizen equal!!!**
@Wajid: So, you think that free power supply is a "basic right". You seem to be as stupid and self-serving as your PTI leader Taliban Khan. Do you think electricity grows on trees? It takes money to produce it and distribute it. And when Imran Khan burnt his electricity bill, he proved himself to be nothing more than an ordinary thief doing "bijli chori aur seena zori".
Good for IK, now it shows people that he is in it with them. Increases his credibility and decreases credibility of PMLN mouthpeices who were claiming for weeks that IK has paid his bills. Another own goal by PMLN...
@Wajid Electricity come in Basic Rights? where have you been living? come down to the real world...
ITTEFAQ FOUNDRIES of Nawaz Sharif has not paid Rs. 40,436,412.00 to LESCO for using electricity from last 106 months. Its connection has not even been DISCONNECTED as you can see in the Status. Why ? You know the answer. If you guys know any other firm of MIAN G from the list, DO TELL. Here is the link to the LESCO Top Defaulters:

@Wajid:::I agree with you.To disconnect electric supply to a house without going through proper procedure is not correct. It's unconstitutional. Also it is written in mutual contract between Wapda and consumer that electric supply will not be disconnected before all options are exhausted
A brave soldier in the city of cowards. Love you IK!!!
@Ali. I: if you could read properly, it says Ittefaq Foundries is in the list of disconnected connections. It has been under bankruptcy proceedings for years and has not been functional for over a decade.
@Wajid, Its people like you who are responsible for the current state of the country.
Not a problem...he's at the dharna most of the time :)
@Gala: Same reason Nawaz needs 47 connections at raiwind?
Well I kind of remember that a few weeks ago everybody was criticising Imran Khan for asking the nation to not pay their bills in protest against the goverment so taking the lead he burnt his own bill.... I also recall clearly that "proof" was published online that he had actually paid his electricity bill.....so many of you started calling him a liar and now, well it looks like he isn't doesn't it? A man that walks the talk or in other words says what he means and does as he says! 3 connections? I live in an upper portion with separate connection...downstairs are the landlords with their connection plus a family of 8 in the servants quarters who possibly have an independent connection too.....could there possibly be a similar scenario at Mr. Khan's household?
@Gala: I had the same questions as yours. But then i found out that Nawaz Shareef has 27 meters!!! So now i am focused on 27 instead of 3.
You better do the same.
Law must be equal for everyone. What about these companies including itefaq foundries??? Is there connection have been disconnected??

ET plz publish. Thanx
A few months ago, Abid Sher Ali appeared on TV with a whole list of bill defaulters including some state departments. I wonder if they are being provide electricity or is this another example of selective justice
Why does he need 3 power connections ???
Shameful act of Govt, Y would to cut power supply ,its basic right , govt should provide even people not pay.. Basic rights are govt duty to provide, it is unconstitutional
I am a PTI supported but its a legal and good step by IESCO to cut power supply on non-payment of dues. Law should be equal to all.
Lahore wala bill day dia tha to ye b dey detay
Good Move. Let the law take its course. IK can go to courts if he feels so.
If wapda will not restore connection again,, thay should be ready for elbow attacks..!
