Post Hajj operation: PIA brings home 12,000 pilgrims

PIA spokesman says the national flag carrier had operated five flights with 1,600 pilgrims aboard to Karachi

ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has so far brought 12,000 pilgrims from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, back to Pakistan through 25 special post Hajj and regular scheduled flights, said a PIA spokesman here on Sunday. He said the national flag carrier had operated five flights with 1,600 pilgrims aboard to Karachi, nine with 4,000 pilgrims aboard to Lahore, five with 2,150 pilgrims aboard to Islamabad, and three each to Peshawar and Quetta carrying 1,100 pilgrims each.
