Second installment of Rs25,000 to be given to flood victims from Oct 20: PM Nawaz

JHANG: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Saturday announced that the second installment of Rs25,000  will be given to people affected by the floods from October 20.

While addressing flood victims in the Jandiana area of Jhang district, the premier lauded everyone’s patience and emphasized his responsibility as well as that of his government to continue working until all victims were rehabilitated.

“We will work day and night for you and I will keep visiting until you are all able to stand up on your feet again,” the premier said.

PM Nawaz expressed his concern for the flood victims and outlined his government’s efforts to attain normality once again.

“I can feel the hard times you have been through and all the emotions you must be feeling. My heart beats with you and you are all in my prayers. May Allah be with you all,” the prime minister stated.

The premier went on to inform locals that all of Pakistan’s helicopters had been used in rescue work and thousands of people were saved. He also explained that all the damages were being measured, and after evaluating all the costs, work will begin.

“Houses are now starting to be built and together we will bring an end to this,” he announced.

He also appreciated the efforts of the district administration for its relief efforts.

@Ranjha: Has PTI stooped to this low that they have to lie to make NS look bad. What a shame. Not voting for PTI again. Infact if democracy is derailed I will vote for PMLn in next elections:)

@Ranjha: Transfers are electronic, not through cheques. Zong managed the mobile payments transfers and disbursements are verified. Don't lie for political mileage.
