Road safety: Three killed, six injured in accidents

Police say 22-year-old Shaukat Ali was riding a motorbike with his friends, when he was hit by a speeding car

FAISALABAD: Three people were killed and six others sustained injuries in various road accidents across the city. Police said 22-year-old Shaukat Ali was riding a motorbike with his friends, when he was hit by a speeding car near Lahrian at Gogra bypass. He died on the spot. Naseem and Mohsin sustained injuries and were shifted to Allied Hospital. Meanwhile, four-year-old Minahil was run over by a car near her house. She died on the spot. Separately, Rescue-1122 officials said Abbas Hussain was travelling in a car with some friends when he swerved to avoid a motorcyclist and lost control. The car smashed into a wall. Abid Hussain died on the spot while his friends were injured.
