Railway authorities ask PPP to deposit Rs5.5 million in the PR’s account

LAHORE: Pakistan Railways has conceded to PPP Punjab president Mian Manzoor Wattoo’s request to run two special trains for PPP workers travelling from the Punjab to Karachi to attend a PPP gathering there on October 18. Railway authorities have asked the PPP to deposit Rs5.5 million in the PR’s account as two-way fare for the trains by October 15. The first train, with 10 carriages, will depart from Rawalpindi at 7:30am and five more carriages will be added to the train at Lalamusa. The second train will depart from Lahore on the same day at 1pm with 15 carriages. Both trains will arrive in Karachi on October 18 and will depart from Karachi for Lahore and Rawalpindi the next day.
