PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) MPA Javed Naseem has said he has not received any show-cause notice and will go to court if he does receive any such notice from the party leadership. In fact, he added, he plans to file a defamation suit against PTI provincial president Azam Swati.

On October 4, Swati said Naseem had been issued a show-cause notice for issuing statements against the party. According to Swati, Naseem had seven days to respond to the notice. Naseem told The Express Tribune on Thursday he has not received any show-cause notice from the party leadership. If one is issued by Swati, who was selected to be an office-bearer for a short term and was not entitled to issue any such notice, Naseem said he will take the provincial head to court.

Elected from Peshawar, PK-3, Naseem said his party workers assured him of all out support in his movement against corrupt elements in the cabinet. “Workers from PK-3 are following Imran Khan’s slogan to root out corruption from society.”
