Former Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) president Javed Hashmi said on Wednesday that he was not acting at the behest of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
He was speaking to journalists. Hashmi said the PML-N was supporting him as the party respected his struggle for democracy.
He said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif had never been serious about ruling Pakistan in the past and had now realised his folly. Hashmi said the media was biased against him. He said it had not shown people raising the slogan ‘Go Imran Go’ at his rallies.
Hashmi said the media had been bought over by supporters of PTI chief Imran Khan and the ‘establishment.’
He said he would go to the residence of PTI senior vice-president Shah Mehmood Qureshi to request his support.
Hashmi said the PML-N government would collapse due to its own dictatorial policies and its reliance on certain individuals. He said the government had victimised the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) by fanning linguistic differences. Hashmi said it had done this as it wanted to promote parochial interests.
Hashmi said that this had also disillusioned the people of south Punjab who had been compelled to demand a separate province for themselves.
Hashmi said the creation of a Seraiki province was inevitable. He said the PML-N had expelled him for raising the issue in party meetings and at the parliament.
Hashmi said the PTI had reached an understanding with the government and called its sit-in at D-Chowk an eyewash.
He said the government would collapse in four days if PTI lawmakers tendered their resignations.
Hashmi said he had told Khan that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf was a blessing for the people of Pakistan and had cautioned him against letting it go in the hands of ‘dictators like Qureshi.’
He said this would result in havoc and destruction as the youth would channel their energy in negative ways.

@Mirza: No. He is only being economical with the truth. It has become exceedingly difficult to understand him. Am i the only one?
I don't even understand what is he saying. Is he criticsing PMLN or not? Is he criticsing PTI or not? Did he say that he will go to Qureshi's house to ask for support but also said that he is a dictator? Can someone make sense of what he is saying please!
An obvious sell out, nothing else...
He has not uttered one word of criticism against PML-N and PPP, he only speaks in favor of the VIP parliament which has drowned the country in the last six years.
Shame on Hashmi, people trusted you but even at this age you sold out your country to corrupt political parties. Your hands have contributed to the destruction of Pakistan. In the end, you are not answerable to a corrupt parliament but God alone.
Before any judge or politician stood up against army dictatorship Hashmi was the man who took strong stand against the army govt. He is the only rightwing politician who stayed in jail for 7 long years and like a man did not bargain on principle. He has won on two different party's tickets and he would win again as independent. He was a Titan in PTI and did not play games of resigning or not resigning. He does not lie like others who have resigned but went to the NA session.
hasmi sb i respect you but you will still lose election
