“I haven’t heard any statement from Nawaz Sharif over Indian aggression.”
Addressing his supporters from atop his container near D-Chowk, Imran asked whether Nawaz was quiet because he has business interests in India and millions stashed away in Western banks.
“In Naya Pakistan we will not bear oppression from anyone,” Imran said.
He lamented that the Frontier Constabulary had been redeployed in and around the sit-in in Islamabad instead of Peshawar where the police was incapable of tackling terrorism.
Give rights to the people
Talking about Balochistan, Imran lamented that the people in the crisis hit province had not been given their rights with the biggest example of gas and how it was extracted in Sui but gas was not provided to people around it for nearly 50 years.
“Why would people of Balochistan want to remain with Pakistan if they are not given their rights?” Imran asked.
He added that the only way to give the people of Balochistan their rights was to hold free, fair and transparent elections which would allow the true leaders to be elected.
“If their real leaders do not come up, then I am afraid Balochistan will go the way of East Pakistan,” Imran warned.
More dams needed
Talking about the impending water crisis, Imran said building new dams was the need of the hour to store water.
He said that Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa was facing water shortage and financial losses owing to lack of reservoirs built. One reason was because the right bank canal on Chashma was not built by the centre for nearly 20 years.
Referring to Kalabagh Dam, Imran said the refrain of people from Sindh was that their water has been stolen in the past and that it would happen again if the dam is built.

@king: Imran Khan is a habitual liar. Thats the difference between him and NS.
@Kishan: Somebody is jealous, you smell of a frustrated PTI supporter:)
@Mamu: It proves that you have turned a blind eye towards Imran Khan's hundred of lies & U-Turns. May I remind you that he had promised to resign from NA when the umpire's finger didn't rise?
@jay: Imran Khan is nothing more than the political arm of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP). They are bent to destroy Pakistan but will never succeed in their nefarious designs InshaAllah.
@jay...what free trade? MFN status goes heavily in favour of India being a much larger producer and exporter of goods while Pakistan has very little to gain from it. Moreso Indian imports into Pak will cripple ouralready struggling local industry. India wants an export market for its goods to boost its economy and so the game plan is to back stab in the name of free trade frriendship. Seriously hindus r a menace..
This frustrated man called Imran Khan should be put under restrictive custody. He has crippled the country with no shame in mis-guiding the poor people of Pakiastan. He knows all the problems of Pakistan and feels has magic solutions to them. Its not easy like lifting the bat and hitting a sixer in cricket. Nawaz has the guts to head a country inspite of all odds and running it positively. Imran is only greedy for power and wants to become the PM of Pakistan at any cost. He cannot take his defeat sportingly. It is people like him which make Pakistan weak and India stronger every day. Look where India is going and the respect it iis getting in the world. It is a clear agenda of Imran towards his Indian friends that he wants to destroy Pakistan. Dear people of Pakistan just kick this man out of your way.
hahah....it's funny when people call IK a liar....lying on the floor of parliament and then not apologizing to the nation is a serious lie...a lie that becomes a trademark for someone who is on as repectable post as PM.....Go nawaz GO
Another eye opener
India is benefiting from a “Modi dividend”, the report said, with economic activity buoyed by expectations from the newly elected government of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Over the next year or so economic growth should be supported by the recovering U.S. economy that would provide a market for Indian merchandise and service exports. Private investment is expected to pick up thanks to the government’s business orientation, and declining oil prices should boost private sector competitiveness. But economic reforms will be needed for India to achieve its full long-term growth potential, the report argued.
The question for Pakistan, as the region’s second biggest economy, is whether recent political turmoil had damaged investor confidence and thereby weakened growth prospects. According to the report, it is still too early to assess the impact of events this year but an early estimate suggests short-term losses equivalent to 2.1 percent of Gross Domestic Product. Economic growth is forecast at 4.4 percent in FY2015 after 4.1 percent this year.
Regaining political stability and with a renewed focus on growth, Bangladesh is forecast to grow by 6.2 percent in FY2014/15 and an estimated 6.1 percent the past fiscal year. Remittances are expected to finance higher domestic consumption, while infrastructure investments will support strong aggregate demand. Sri Lanka is expected to continue its strong growth, at 8.2 percent in 2015 rising from 7.8 percent this year. Afghanistan is on a more fragile path, dominated by security and political concerns, after having grown by a modest 1.5 percent in 2013.

We have a government from a region which has faced Islamic invasion for nearly 1000 years. So we know how to defeat the people who got converted at the first sight of a sword.
@jay
Please go and broom some garbage. Do something meaningful with your life rather popping your nose in your neighbours affairs.
People should remember they only selected current govt. And it should be given 5 yrs term to prove its worth. Destabilising democracy will not help. Good relationship with India is interest of both countries but IK will not let this happen.
"Nawaz should give clear statement on Indian aggression, drone strikes: Imran" Also, IK should give a "clear statement" on the foreign interests he is trying to protect/promote? At whose behest is he destabilizing the country? How come he caused the delay in the visit of the Chinese President and the resulting loss of Chinese investments that could have eased the energy shortage? He did say he won't let the Govt. work until "the election rigging" is accounted for. For that a mechanism is already in place. Why should he use that pretext for hurting Pakistan's march to progress? Is he afraid, that if the Govt succeeds in resolving problems faced by Pakistan, he would have no chance of becoming the next PM?
Imran Khan is the naya-zulfiker.
Imran Khan is bound to break up Pakistan for the second time if he comes to power.
Don't Pakistanis see this?
Or you stick to your theory that the opposite of what an Indian says holds good for Pakistan.
Imran Khan should be in Parliament and make cross border statements as a key opposition figure.
Else, take the dharna / jalsa to the LOC and give a message to our neighbors that we want to co exist in peace and with mutual respect!!
And while thus aggression is tsking place on the border please stop all the partying and dancing in your dharna!!
So I am curious. If Imran were PM and Pakistan army killed 5 Indian civilians and India retaliated - what exactly would he do that is different? Go to UN? Nawaz already did that. What else?
Democracy is not only important to Baloochistan, it is also important to whole pakistan.. Army is ruling pakistan from behind.. Nawaz Sheriff is PM for name sake..
You know Khan, he wouldn't !!! NS does not speak truth to himself...
@jay: Bravo! You are certainly a great aplogist for both Modi and Nawaz. I agree Nawaz is a great businessman and a very rich one too. One tends to forget he is the PM for the third time and all his victories have ended up in despair for the average pakistani because he has failed to deliver! Kashmir dispute, Siachin dispute cannot be solved through bullets or trade but by skillful negotiations. Army in pakistan is a part and parcel of pakistani fabric whether one likes it or not. This is also partly the case in India where it has oposed the doable Siachin dispute. Imran has become popular because Nawaz is again indecisive and hesitant. We want friends not masters. If india wants to meet pakistan on equal footing and solve the political problems trade will follow automatically and i agree with you the lot of poor will improve. As far as Imran's allegation about Nawaz 's business interests in India is concerned this is "Container" politics.
IK has no right . Has India started a civil disobedience campaign??!! Has India torn electricity bills, encouraged overseas Pakistsnis to make illegal payments , get armed hooligans to attack ptv abd PM House , scare away investors from Pakistan ???
IK is the biggest enemy of Pakistan.
NS is a statesman and he will deal best with India in a mature manner.
From Rigging to poverty, social ills and now foreign policy, he blames NS. Wonder next week he'll blame NS for world pollution and environmental hazards as well :)
@Bait: Fair comment, but does not matter for someone like IK, whose fortes include U-Turns -- hint: his comment re: SR, Pervez I., list goes on :-)
@grace... if there is genuine chineese investment... then all PMLN has to do is hold genuine audit of votes polled in the previous election. Why they are afraid if they did not rig the elections is beyond me ! Pakistan is not being distroyed by these peaceful and legit demonstrations but by corrupt leaders of PPP and PMLN.
@jay: Alright! Then just a simple question, why did nawaz sharif bring his son(who is a businessman and not a politician) with him to the house of an indian businessman over a cup of coffee, during his visit to India?
@numbersnumbers: Well-said;:-)
You can not stay before mullah for one second (see his interview with mullah over Altaf Mian Pakistani American economist) and you are giving lecture on courage.Should we say shame on you or should we laugh of loud. One thing is sure you will not succeed.Go away.
what a rubbish statement of Imran Khan that Nawaz has business interest in India? Political immature statement of Imran to blackmail emotionally driven pak people by giving emotional anti India and fake anti corruption slogan is his clear attempt to be in medial lime light. He should understand the real economical development of pak is only possible through free trade with India's emergent consumer market but not with the present military aid from USA or strategical aid from China to checkmate/disturb peace in India through creating terrorism in.Kashmir, Imran Khan should grow up and should realise that Real development in Pak is only possible to have massive trade of pak in fast emerging markets in India that has been the major development strategy for pak by Nawaz as he is being the only Pak leader who has vast entrepreneur skill. Imran Khan's baseless accusation on Nawaz's business interest in India is an attempt by IK to emotionally blackmail pak people to remain visible in media. as has been also done by Bilawal 's outbursts against India. Both Modi and Nawaz being mature politicians and do not accuse against each other since they understand the game plan of Imran Khan, Musharaf and ISI/army to checkmate Nawaz through derailing the peace process by creating disturbances in Kashmir and inciting emotional anti India fervour in Pak people. who are ultimate sufferer -- the poor people of both india and Pak whose economy could be developed through free trade in India and Pak.
All these comments will be a double edged sword when IK eventually comes to power. If he takes a soft stance on India or a hard stance on Balouchistan there will be plenty of video footage showing him contradicting himself.
He has without stressing too much in the negative, stressed upon clarity. People on both sides of the border want that.
Till now I am clear on only one thing. Whosoever fired the first shot, whether Indian or Pakistani, is an idiot.
@bilal: Poor loser Imran Khan is destabilizing the country, scaring away Chinese investors and encouraging other countries to take advantage of Pakistan. PTI has no right to worry about the welfare of Pakistan since they have caused so much turmoil and unrest. PTI people need to examine how their dharnas are damaging Pakistan and grow up. Work within the democratic system and not hurt Pakistan for foreign powers to take advantage of situation.
Agreed! I also consider him as the last hope for Pakistan.
BUT I have some very serious questions.
IK is in assembly as the second largest force. They should carry on with their dharna and also keep working for the betterment of Pakistan. Is everything remain in the pipeline till the formation of Naya Pakistan? This is non-serious attitude.
You can not buy Naya Pakistan from any market, you have to transform this same Pakistan into a Naya Pakistan and for doing so you should not leave any option to work for the country. Whether you are atop of container of in the assembly. You are waiting to work for the country till you become the PM - this is not good.
Now IK should ask his followers to start chanting Go-India-Go from Kashmir and Stop-USA-Stop from drone attacks. Can he do that?
Imran Khan / PTI is Pakistan's last hope. Pakistani has been under PPP / PML-N directly or indirectly for such a long time. The current state of the country is sufficient proof that corrupt parties and military regimes have failed.
I refuse to support a corrupt parliament and gullu butt parties. I will stand by what is right, even if I stand alone as I am answerable to God.
He added that the only way to give the people of Balochistan their rights was to hold free, fair and transparent elections - ---same is case with kashmir.
AND Imran Kahn should give "Clear Statement" on TTP being TERRORISTS!!!
Well said IK, we are with you. You are worthy man enough to lead our nation when scavenger are distuting internally and externally.
Few enemies are undermining this state internally, N few at the border... The worse enemy is enemy which is in sheep clothing..!!
We want a leader like Imran khan not a businessman like Rothschild or NS
Could care less what anyone says , this man is my leader.
Imran Khan is Pakistan Khan. We love you.
