Man held, 16 bottles of liquor seized

Police also arrest man, seize 250 grams of heroin from him during a patrol in the Awami Market area

ISLAMABAD:

The Aabpara police claimed to have arrested a man on Monday and seized liquor from him. On a tip-off, the police raided a hideout near Awami Market in Sector G-7/2 and arrested a man, who could not be identified, and seized 16 bottles of liquor from his possession.

A case has been registered against the suspect. Meanwhile, the same police have arrested a man in connection with an alleged theft case from Sector G-7. According to the police, Raja Sajjad Ahmed lodged a case with the police stating that his driver, Niyal, stole Rs500,000 from his car.

The police registered a theft case, however, it could not be confirmed if the alleged thief had been arrested when this report was filed. Meanwhile, the police arrested a man and seized 250 grams of heroin from him during a patrol in the Awami Market area.
