Street crime: Valuables snatched in 3 robberies

In Matkenagra, thieves stole Rs30,000 and mobile phones from a house when the residents were away.

GUJRANWALA: Robbers snatched cash and valuables in three robberies in various areas of the district on Saturday-Sunday. They also injured a woman on putting up resistance. According to Baghbanpura police, two robbers snatched Rs88,000, mobile phone and a motorcycle from Waheed from Hafizabad Road. Bilal, a resident of Gujrat, was travelling with his mother to Machyana. They were stopped by robbers near Machyana Puli. The robbers snatched Rs6,000 and mobile phones from the two. They also injured Bilal’s mother on putting up resistance. According to Satrah police, Ghazanfar, a resident of Kangarhwali, was returning to his village along with his father, when he was stopped by robbers. The gunmen snatched cash and mobile phones. In Kangniwala, a motorcycle was stolen by thieves. Sabzi Mandi police have registered a case. In Matkenagra, thieves stole Rs30,000 and mobile phones from a house when the residents were away.
