In broad daylight: General store outlet looted

RAWALPINDI:

Five robbers barged into a general store outlet in the Saddar Bairuni area in broad daylight and looted cash, mobile phones and other valuables after making the shop owner and his customers hostage at gunpoint.

The robbers made their way into the “cash and carry shop” and looted Rs150,000, more than six mobiles and other valuables from the shop owner and his clients.

The robbers also resorted to aerial firing while fleeing and a bullet hit a minor in the market. The injured girl was shifted to a hospital.

The police were alerted by residents, however, by the time they reached the spot, the robbers had fled the scene.
