Blast in Kohat leaves 6 dead, 17 others injured
Explosion took place in a passenger van near Peshawar Chowk, DSP says 5kg of explosive material was used

A blast in a passenger van in Kohat on Saturday left five people dead and nine others injured, Express News reported.
"The blast occurred at a small bus stop in Kohat city. At least two vehicles were damaged in the explosion," Salim Khan Marwat, district police chief in Kohat, told AFP.
The injured were taken to District Hospital Kohat for medical treatment, where medical staff has said that several of the injured are in critical condition.
DSP City said that five kilogrammes of explosive material was used in the explosion which was detonated via remote control.
He added that two vehicles were also destroyed in the blast.
Police have closed the Kohat-Hangu Road completely and a search operation is underway.
In a separate incident, a blast took place in Tank near the vehicle of a leader of a peace committee. No casualty or loss of life was reported till the filing of this report.
Earlier today, a blast in Quetta left at least seven people injured.
